familyLaura Pierce, CCC-SLP, CLC is a speech-language pathologist specializing in pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders and a certified lactation counselor.

Laura is licensed for speech-language pathology through the Missouri Board of Healing Arts and maintains a Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language Association. Laura received her master’s degree from Truman State University and has focused her continuing education in the area of pediatric feeding and swallowing.

Laura is certified as a Certified Lactation Counselor through the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice.

Laura previously worked as a speech-language pathologist for St. Louis Special School District in a self-contained, special education elementary school and high school. Laura has experience working with special needs populations, such as:

  • autism,
  • Down syndrome,
  • deafness,
  • cognitive impairment,
  • developmental delay,
  • behavioral and emotional disorders, and
  • physical impairments.

Laura completed an internship at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, working with infants with feeding difficulties.

Laura lives in Kirkwood with her husband and five children.
